About Ramon Chapa, Jr.
Ramon Chapa, Jr. is a lifelong resident of New Braunfels, Texas, and a committed public servant with extensive experience in community leadership and government affairs. He is a U.S. Army veteran and a certified State of Texas Community Health Worker.
He is a graduate of San Antonio College and the University of Maryland, and made history as the youngest person elected to the New Braunfels City Council, where he served for six years as Mayor Pro Tem. He also served six years as an elected Director for the Edwards Aquifer Authority, representing Comal County.
Ramon has held key roles at the local, state, and federal levels, working with leaders such as Commissioner Tommy Calvert, State Representative Richard Raymond, and U.S. Congressmen Henry Cuellar and Joaquin Castro.
His work has earned him numerous honors, including the Alamo Area Council of Governments’ “Regional Citizen of the Year” award, along with multiple community service recognitions.
